Dia dhíbh, a chairde chroíthe,
Just to tell you a few little things.
Firstly, every evening or most evenings at any rate, I go up to the Icon Chapel here in Glenstal Abbey to pray at 5.45pm before Vespers and always, I include all my Facebookers in that ‘prayer-pot’, eventhough many of you readers, I may not know personally. But for me it makes sense of this vast, medium of communication to know that you are all there together with me united in prayer wherever you are in the world!
Secondly, I have a few events coming up that I would love your presence at!
Firstly, on March 23rd next, I am giving a workshop here in Glenstal Abbey as a preparation for the marvellous season of Lent AND Resurrection. How can we make it personal, personal and powerful in our own daily lives particularly at this time. So it is a day of reflection on the awesome mysteries of it all.
Secondly, the wonderful tour impresario, Conor Ellard, came to me a few months ago to ask me to lead some spiritual pilgrimages which he in his usual competency and expertise would arrange. So here we go!
In May, we will pilgrim to some very favourite, personal sacred sites of mine here in Ireland. Beginning on the 4th of May, we will journey for five (a magic celtic number, a coicead) days through the largest stone circle in England and Ireland, incidentally where I was conceived and born!, Loch Gur, taking in the mystical Aran Islands and much more in between. We will sing sacred songs of remembrance to the stones en route and it certainly promises to be a very special, transformative time; Turas na nAnama – Journey of the Soul as I call it.
So that’s it for the time being,
God bless you now and I look forward to seeing you ‘in God’s own time’.
Le mór-mheas agus cion, ó Nóirín
