30 Years of Sound – a wee thank you.

July 18th 2008

This year marks the thirtieth since the release of Nóirín Ní Riain’s debut album ‘Seinn Aililiú’. From humble beginnings, to academic songstress, and from story-teller to global performer, Nóirín Ní Riain has become one of Ireland’s most loved cultural protectors and promoters. We’d like to offer you a wee thank you for supporting Nóirín’s music and works. The song is called ‘Cucúín’ – which literally translates as ‘Little Cuckoo’, but in fact is a nonsensical word to humans – the sound a cuckoo makes! The song comes from the ‘Celtic Soul’ album.
